VitaMedica was founded by a physician who recognized that patients want a health care professional to work with them to devise a personal plan for health and wellness. VitaMedica utilizes nutraceuticals, combinations of vitamins, minerals, and other nutrients, to provide support for surgery, healing, wellness, and age management.

The surgery supplements created by VitaMedica allow patients to be proactive in their healing process. In this day and age, we are greatly affected by time and feel pressure to speed up the recovery process after surgery. VitaMedica offers comprehensive program kits and individual supplements that are designed to help speed up the recovery process. Each product is tailored to meet the varying needs of different surgical patients, and the easy-to-use products ensure compliance and excellent results.

Surgery patients also benefit from the optimal nutrition provided by the surgery supplements. Although many patients take nutritional supplements in increasing amounts, their use around the time of surgery is not always desirable. VitaMedica’s surgery supplements have been specially formulated to eliminate any nutrients that may have an adverse effect and provide nutrients essential to internal wound care by enhancing the body’s natural mechanisms for repair and healing.

VitaMedica’s age management supplements actively manage the aging process. These supplements aid in extending a patients “health span” – the number of healthy years that one can expect to live. The age management nutraceuticals are specifically formulated to maintain health, wellness, and beauty. There are also supplements targeted to specific skin issues, such as acne, and aging of the skin as a result of free radical damage.

What are free radicals?

Free radicals are atoms or groups of atoms with an odd (unpaired) number of electrons. They can be formed when oxygen interacts with certain molecules. After they are formed, these highly reactive radicals can elicit a chain reaction, similar to falling dominoes. When they react with important cellular components, like DNA, or the cell membrane, they may damage them and cause the cells to function poorly or die. However, our bodies have a defense mechanism, known as antioxidants, to minimize or eliminate free radicals from damaging healthy cells.

Antioxidants can safely interact with free radicals and stop the chain reaction before vital molecules are damaged. While our bodies have a number of enzyme systems that scavenge free radicals, the principle vitamin antioxidants are vitamin E, beta-carotene, and vitamin C. Another member of this group is Selenium, a trace metal that is required for proper function of one of the body’s antioxidant enzyme systems. Unfortunately, the body cannot manufacture these micronutrients so they must be supplied in the diet.

VitaMedica products help replenish the body’s supply of micronutrients, essential to cellular health. Boston Breast Augmentation Choices

Plastic Surgery has become a popular method to safely change imperfections in our physical appearance. Last year alone, nearly 11 million people underwent plastic surgery in the United States. The most popular procedure was breast augmentation.

Now that silicone implants are back on the market, women desiring larger, fuller breasts have two decisions to make. The first - is whether to undergo breast augmentation surgery. The second - is whether to have silicone or saline implants.

Many women are choosing silicone over saline because they want a softer implant and desire a more natural look as opposed to the rounder appearance of a saline implant. Some women do prefer the saline over the silicone and vice versa. For women with little or no breast tissue, silicone is almost always essential, but as always, the decision weighs in large part on personal preference. It is most important, when deciding saline versus silicone, to talk to your doctor extensively and consider the pros and cons of each type of implant.

Now Introducing Obagi ELASTIderm

Obagi ELASTIderm Night Eye Cream is the first skincare product for the eye area clinically proven to help replenish both elastin and boost collagen production, and give the wrinkles around the eye area the ability to bounce back so that the skin looks feels and acts younger.

Elastin is a protein in your skin that holds it firmly in place. In fact, it is the loss of elastin that is directly related to the formation of wrinkles. Most anti-aging products claim to build collagen, but without replenishing elastin the skin lacks the support needed to stay firmly in place. Obagi ELASTIderm helps replenish both elastin and collagen to provide lift, snap and resilience.

Unlike other anti-aging products, Obagi Elastiderm Night Cream uses a unique, patent-pending revolutionary bi-mineral complex combined with malonic acid and rich emollients to replenish elastin and boost collagen production while the skin naturally repairs itself at night. Also contains Blueberry extract which provides antioxidants that help eliminate free radicals.

Obagi ELASTIderm Night Eye Cream is clinically proven to reduce wrinkles in as little as two weeks with long-lasting results.

Obagi ELASTIderm Night Eye Cream is specially formulated to use as a nightly, stand alone product, or for use within the Obagi Nu-Derm System or the Obagi-C Rx System.

While supplies last, we are excited to announce the new addition to the Obagi system portfolio. For the month of December we are offering a gift pack for the Holidays including Obagi black wristlets to go along with the Obagi ELASTIderm or a compact with lip balm for only $85.00. Contact Maureen for further information or call us at (781) 331-3222.
