What is a Preservé Breast Augmentation?
Preservé is a minimally-invasive breast augmentation technique designed to Preservé natural breast tissue and function while providing beautiful, natural shape.
Preservé is a breast enhancement technique that creates a precise pocket for an implant while preserving the natural support structures of the breast. It uses a balloon to gently spread tissue to create space for an implant placed over the muscle. By maintaining support structures of the breast this technique can result in enhanced implant stability over time. Preservé offers the combination of an elegant, minimally invasive approach paired with rapid recovery and low downtime.
Benefits of Preservé
- Natural look and feel
- Less tissue disruption
- Potential for less anesthesia
- Breast stability
- Shorter recovery
- Return to activity in two weeks
How is Preservé different from a traditional augmentation?
Both traditional augmentation and Preservé add volume to the breasts with implants. The difference is in how the pocket is made and how much of your natural breast tissue and support structures are maintained. Traditional augmentation uses heat to dissect the tissue to create a pocket. Preservé uses a balloon to gently spread the tissues, minimizing tissue dissection and inflammation. Preservé also maintains the circummammary ligament, which can offer more durable implant support and increase longevity of results. Because there is less tissue disruption, Preservé is typically performed under light sedation.

Bringing goal photos to your consult is helpful. We also have patients try on small-volume shaped sizers to get a good sense of how different volumes feel to you.

All patients receive local numbing medication which provides comfort both during and after the procedure. Patients are cleared to resume all activity and lifting at 2 weeks and swimming after 4 weeks.
When can I return to work?
